what a week..
I plan on studying illustration in new york in fall this year and as usual I started way to late with my portfolio. yesterday was the deadline and I spent all week franticly trying to find time next to the internship to finish my portfolio. I ended up going 65 hours with 3.5 hours of sleep from wednesday till yesterday. what a marathon. the guys at work probably would have thougt I was on drugs had I not explained the situation to them.
anyway after 11 hours of sleep, I'm looking at all the stuff one more time and it was worth it, since (also like ususaly) I produce better results when under imense pressure. Maybe its the "artist-must-suffer-to-create-good-art-syndrome".

anyway lets see if I've regained enough strength to submit some of my portfolio

Yeahhh reading is college sucks! well, heavy amounts. It's not my idea of fun. However, Illustration sounds fantastic! Good luck with that!

It is quite small, but I'll have admit that I had a REALLY great time at Bern. I absolutely adore the little market at the center of your town, and needless to say, I also love the city planning, the river, and the fountains. You have great food too!

However, I do understand that although a small city can be really neat, a big city usually has more opportunities to offer.

lol. we found Bern because it was on the List of World Cultural Heritage, or something like that.

yeah every now and then she'll start randomly ranting and complaining that the weather here in switzerland sucks bigtime and that the people are so formal, cold and boring =D she's a bit spoiled from that time

college that requires reading? wow, that sure is mean =P good thing I plan on studying illustration and hopefully they're as chilled out as they were at the local artschool.

I'm actually growing the curls back right now, after looking tough and normal for a while =)

Ohhh, i bet she loved it there! My neighbors and their relatives are pretty close with my family, they are from Syria/Lebanon and Venezuela, which is in south america. They have a great sense of humor, incredibly jovial, and they seriously know how to dance!


Yeahh, i'm tired out from college work, i have 2 classes, which are joint, like the teachers work together while teaching... but it's such a stressful class, lots of reading of stuff that doesn't make sense, blahh...

i have to go catch up on more reading!

oh, i just realized your name on here is "curlhead' thats funny, you have adorable curls. :]

yup its of midel eastern origin, my mom hung out there for 8 years and got inspired. very exotic :P

Lol! I don't usually complement people unless I really think their art is really good. Personally I think your drawings of humans are quite realistic but are able to bring out the emotive expressions. That's no easy feat. (Apparently my drawings are purely observational and no expressive techniques whatsoever) :D
